Rock The Casbah

I picked this up today:

I'm dating myself here, but I remember when CDs first came out they were $20. Now I can pick up 31 songs of classic punk rock for ten measly bucks. No doubt Limewire and Torrent play a part in this deflation. Plus maybe nobody listens to The Clash anymore. (Although they should.)

Good score... those are two of the best albums of the last millenium!

I was more of a Stiff Little Fingers fan, but still, you can't really go wrong with The Clash.

Good score, although I thought with the title of the post that it might be on events in Gaza and the Middle East.

You are not alone in your love of The Clash Peanut. Fat Arse doesn't like it much but I sure do.

Cheers

Sorry about misleading you, Arse. Although, after googling Casbah I find that it's actually located in Algiers (NW Africa) so I don't feel too bad about it. Although the US army used it as a theme song when invading Iraq, so the actual location is probably irrelevant.

That was my wiki lesson for the day. I wonder what I'll learn tomorrow?

I think tomorrow I may investigate Stiff Little Fingers. :-)

I love the Clash. In fact my first karaoke song was Rock The Casbah. :)

SLF rock so do check them out. They don't make music like that anymore (that's probably a good thing)
